The Happy Together Tour Visits the Wisconsin State Fair

We're always talking about various Milwaukee business networking opportunities, Milwaukee business news, Milwaukee networking events, etc. on this blog, so let's take a moment and talk about something that is arguably a little more fun.

Many of you know that, in addition to serving as president of Intrepid Innovations and being primarily responsible for this blog, I'm also a freelance journalist. Lately, I've been trying to dabble more in photography as a means to enhance my written skills when the opportunity arises.

That being said, if you are a fan of 1960s rock/pop, you must check out my recent photo shoot (92 photos in all that made the final cut!) and accompanying commentary for Muskego Patch on the Happy Together Tour, which made a stop at the Wisconsin State Fair last Sunday, August 7th.

The tour consists of The Buckinghams, The Grass Roots, The Association, Mark Lindsay (the voice of Paul Revere and the Raiders), and The Turtles.

It was a great concert! Though I enjoy the music of all the groups that performed, I'm particularly a big Buckinghams fan, so admittedly, that's what ultimately sealed the deal for me and prompted me to purchase a ticket.

And speaking of The Buckinghams, the group's publicist contacted me the same afternoon my story was published and complimented my photos. That was a pretty neat and exciting experience!

So check it out:

Also, if you scroll down to the comments section of the story, you'll see that I posted links to all of the bands' Web sites, as well as to some vintage performances and interviews!

Enjoy!
