The front page of the Local section in today's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel featured a story about a loan program being advocated for by a number of Waukesha County officials, including County Executive Dan Vrakas and Director of Administration Norman Cummings.
According to the article, the proposed loan program would make available interest-free loans of up to $50,000 to businesses within Waukesha County that meet certain criteria.
The proposed program has received recommendations for approval from the county's Executive and Finance committees, and it is scheduled for a final vote by the full Waukesha County Board on Tuesday, September 27th.
I think this is a very worthwhile investment in strengthening the business base around Waukesha County, and I respectfully urge the Waukesha County Board to approve it on Tuesday.
