Natural Solutions for Treatment Mononucleosis

Mono, also known as the kissing disease can be very dangerous and should be carefully treated. Mono the kissing disease is called that because it is often spread through saliva and close contact often made in sexual positions. Mono is most common in middle school and high school aged people.

The symptoms of mono the kissing disease start off by with the average signs of being ill. Most of the time you can expect a sore throat, a headache, and just a tired weak feeling. Your tonsils will more than likely start to swell up and turn a white color. Your lymph nodes on your neck will swell up. You can just touch the outside of your lymph nodes on your neck to generally know if they are swollen up or not. If you have these symptoms you should make sure to go to a doctor. You may not have mono the kissing disease. You should never diagnose yourself through what you think you know. Always visit a doctor.

To lessen the symptom of mononucleosis, fatigue, all the person can do is rest. It may be that the sufferer will miss a lot of work or school, but this is the only thing that can be done to ease this particular symptom of mononucleosis. It is recommended that people with mono admit to themselves that they are tired and need to lie down and then they have to do just that.

If not treated with antibiotics, the mononucleosis symptom most often associated with mononucleosis, bodily fatigue, will invade other bodily functions and could even cause death. The disease known as mononucleosis is an attack by a herpes virus. The invading organism attacks red blood cells. As more and more red blood cells are attacked, the body makes more white blood cells to fight the invading virus.

There is no treatment or drug for the kissing disease mono, however, because it is a cold based virus it will usually go away after it has run its course. Each individual symptom may be treated by getting plenty of bed rest, drinking plenty of fluids, gargling warm salt water and using cough drops. Tylenol which contains acetaminophen or Ibuprofen may be taken to help control any fever.

Mono the kissing disease is a serious illness that can be very dangerous if left untreated. If you think that you might have mono you should not hesitate and go visit a doctor. Be safe and be healthy!
