Marsh...Bill overlooked an important Comets member. Marshall Lytle was the bass player for Bill's Saddlemen after Al Rex left and Marshall continued as the bass player with The Comets. It was Marshall who played bass on all the "Rock Around the Clock" era hits. Marshall left, then Al was back. You can see Marshall playing upright bass and singing lead on the 87 Philly Music Awards video.
