Go Brewers Go!!!

The Milwaukee Brewers won game five against the Arizona Diamondbacks last night to advance to the second and final round of National League playoff competition.

With the St. Louis Cardinals having defeated the Philadelphia Phillies last night in their game five, they will now face the Brewers in a seven-game series to determine which team will become the National League champions and advance to the World Series.

The game last night was certainly no picnic. The Brewers had us all a little nervous at times. But in the end, they managed to pull it off, just as I thought they would.

This is just so incredibly exciting! And to see all the wonderful support of other fans - Milwaukee has always been blessed to have one of the most loyal and supportive fan bases in Major League Baseball. It's great.

Last night, the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Florida Marlins by a score of 4-1 before a sellout crowd of 44,584 fans here in Milwaukee. Because the Chicago Cubs defeated the St. Louis Cardinals last night 5-1, the Milwaukee Brewers have won the National League Central Division title.

It's the first time the Brewers have won their division since 1982, when they won the AL East Division before going on to lose to the Cardinals in the World Series.
