For anyone who's interested, I belong to a great networking group called the Milwaukee Networking Club. We meet every other Wednesday morning at StoneFire Pizza on Moorland Road in New Berlin. The meeting itself runs from 8:00-9:00, but many members arrive around 7:30 in order to take advantage of open networking time beforehand.
Our group operates similar to BNI groups in that we each go around the room at the beginning of the meeting and share a brief "elevator pitch" or "commercial" - a little bit about who we are and what we do. We then have one 10-minute presentation by a member of the group that goes more in-depth about what that business professional has to offer. Also similar to BNI, the Milwaukee Networking Club ensures that competition is locked out - only one business professional is allowed per industry.
For more information, including a list of current members, upcoming speakers, and business professionals we're looking for, visit the Milwaukee Networking Club's Web site at: http://www.milwaukeenetworkingclub.net .
Want to come along to a meeting as a guest? Contact Bob Siekert of Robert J. Siekert Company by phone at 414.545.4421 or by e-mail at bob@rjsco.com .
We're always looking for more business professionals to join our group, and it's a great opportunity to meet like-minded professionals who are just as interested in learning, growing, networking, and expanding their business as you are. See you there!
Best,
--Aaron Robertson, president, Intrepid Innovations Inc.
