Hair Transplant Procedure

By Ben Frieben

hair loss and balding has led many to take a variety of desperate and drastic measures. To their reprieve, hair transplant surgery is a 100% effective procedure to regain a full head of hair. Many baldness sufferers have plenty of hair on other parts of their body besides the head, and one would naturally assume that using these healthy hairs to regrow hair in the bald spots is an ideal solution.

An ideal solution usually comes with a heavy price tag (which would make it not so ideal), and hair transplant surgery is no different. As effective as it is, and however natural it may look, the procedure of replacing bald spots with the patient's own hair may be relatively expensive to most. Especially those with a higher Norwood baldness scale rating can expect to add an empty wallet to their list of ailments. If one were to take action early and undergo such a procedure with minimal sign of receding hairline, the chances of long-term success dwindle as balding continues with age.

Pain and discomfort can be added to the list of consequences of hair transplant surgery. The patient is submitted to local anesthesia during the procedure, but they can experience moderate to severe pain up to 48 hours afterwards. The pain is generally felt when the sensitive areas come in contact with something else, such as when the patient is laying down with their head on a pillow. Sleep is usually difficult for the first night or two after the surgery.

There are alternatives to surgery and even medical regimens. For those who take action early enough in the beginning stages of balding, the success rate of natural remedies to stop their hair loss and bald spots and regrow hair becomes exponentially increased. Natural hair loss and balding treatments can consist of simple and healthy items found at any grocery store, vitamin and supplements retailer, and herb shop.

Drinking plenty of water, eating the right foods, and taking the proper supplements will help hair regrowth in many baldness sufferers. However, there are other things which can be exercised to improve hair health, prevent hair loss, and begin growing more hair. Do not wear tight hairstyles or hats in order to avoid daily hair shedding. Hair care, such as brushing, combing, shampooing, and drying must be exercised in the appropriate manner each day to reduce the thinning of the hair. Always consult your doctor and gather all possible information on the treatment opportunities available to you before taking action resulting in negative outcomes.
