Free Blog Images
When you read a blog entry that's all words, how do you feel? Do you think it's how a post should be, or do you long to see some images that will make it more appealing? If you're like everyone else, then your answer would probably be the latter. Let's face it, blog posts for internet business are just a lot more pleasurable to read when they have images reflective of their content. Luckily, there are now sites which offer free blog images. You no longer have to take a photo every time you update your site. In addition, you increase your SEO value too.
Blogging images can be found in many sites, but you have to ensure that they are open for everyone's use. See, many photos online are protected by copyrights and committing the mistake of touching them can be disastrous on your part.
One, you may have to experience an embarrassing encounter with the legal owners of the photos, who would likely ask you to take down what you have uploaded. Two, the owners may even end up suing you for your carelessness. Now, both scenarios are quite awful, right? You certainly wouldn't want to get into either.
Luckily, free blog images that the public and SEO companies can use are now available under Creative Commons (CC) licenses. They just require attribution to the owners.
Creative Commons is an organization which enables people to share and use knowledge and creativity through free legal tools in SEO companies. They standardize the way of giving permission to the public in using and sharing creative works, depending on their conditions.
Now, take caution in taking CC licenses as copyright replacements. They are not. What CC licenses do is modify some copyright terms according to the decision of the creator. For instance, if a photo has an "all rights reserved" status, the owner can use a CC license that will allow others to use his or her image based on his or her own regulation. Say, he or she can allow the using, editing, tweaking, and the building up of the image as long as he or she is credited. Or, he or she can limit what can be done to it too.
After understanding creative commons licenses, let's now decide on how to choose the appropriate image for a post.
The problem when there are too many options is it can be quite difficult to pick the best one. What you can do is go to a particular photo site and use the search feature. Almost all websites that offer free images have search boxes so your life can be a lot easier.
On the search box, you can type the title of your post, the keywords you may have used, or simply the topic of the entry. The site can already present images that are connected with them in one way or another. However, it is also ideal to be a little more creative when it comes to searching for a photo. For example, if your post is about starting something new, you can use photos that imply newness such as breaking of the dawn or blooming of a flower. They can be a great way to tickle the fancy and entice the mind too.
Free blog images provide an opportunity to make your blog posts a lot more pleasurable to read. Don't hesitate to give them a try because if you do, you would miss a lot of its good.
